About

I am a Potter working from my garden studio in East London. After finishing my degree in Ceramic Design at Central St Martins I worked at several pottery studios. This is where I developed my knowledge of ceramics and skills as a potter. I create ceramics using a variety of methods from pinching and coiling, to working at the wheel. My vessels are influenced by research into historic ceramics, 16th and 17th century painting and British folk art. The surface texture is built up using a range of clays, slips, underglaze and glazes. My recent hand-painted, illustrated vessels have enabled me to explore the role of story-telling inspired by walks taken as a child and British folk tales.

All pieces are part of my ongoing work. If you see anything that you like that has sold out please get in touch, as I may well have something similar in stock. I am happy to accept commissions, these can take up to eight weeks to make but are often less. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch. I spend my working days happily making in my studio in east London. I designate two morning a week to answering emails and admin so if you don't hear back from me straight away, I will be in touch soon.
